The deep purpose of spiritual practice is to help each of us develop a pattern of thinking that consistently leads us to contemplate our connection with life, the universe and each other. When our minds are grounded in oneness there is no “other” and we open to the path of unconditional love and a deeper appreciation of our interconnectedness with all of life.
Design From Patterns To Details
Whether from fairy tales, film, or religion, we all use myths to make sense of our world (either consciously or unconsciously). These stories offer a road map to our reality and greatly influence our expectations and route.
We have all heard it said that “awareness is half the battle.” The more we are willing to educate ourselves about the issues that surround us, the greater perspective we gain. When we are able to look beyond the minute circumstances and intently seek awareness, suddenly it can be so much easier to see where we can actually make a difference.
This week we will be invited to begin to look at the bigger patterns that affect our thinking and how our thoughts trickle down into our behavior. When we look at a landscape we see how the movement of larger systems like water flow and weather affect the small details and set the stage for where thriving is possible. Are we paying attention to the patterns of our experience in a holistic way?
