Ancestor Celebration Sunday
This weekend we approach the midpoint of fall. We notice that the weather is getting colder, the nights are getting longer and the leaves are starting to change color. Nature is beginning to pull her energy inward in preparation for winter. Cultures and people from across the planet and throughout time have looked to this time of the year to remember those who have passed on from this life. As we see the impending darkness of winter, we are reminded that our time too will come to return our own energy to the earth. And so we celebrate Halloween, Samhain, Dia De Los Muertos, as ways of remembering those who have gone before us.
